If you've never been, check it out. You won't regret it.
The sanctuary provides some great walking trails, but signage could be improved.
Open year round, but be prepared for muddy paths. Saw many kids with boots and parents grunting with strollers. It's doable with old shoes you don't mind getting a little messy.
We were there in March. It is good to see some ecological farming done. We were lucky enogh to see the first tiny lambs and the end of the sugaring season.
Drumlin Farm is one of my favorite places in the world. I spent every summer of my childhood as a camper here, and then a counselor in training. The Massachusetts Audubon Society summer camp programs are second to none.
Have been coming here for a few years and the kids still live it. They're 8 and 5 now. It's especially nice in the summer, to walk the trails but spring is a lovely time for a visit with the new births. There isn't anywhere for food here so bring a picnic, plenty of places to have one for lunch. A couple of restrooms around. Fun, random show cases or crafts at various times and lots to see for a few hours.
Drumlin Farm itself is open to tourists, and is a really fun family experience. It's a very tiny working farm and and animal sanctuary. There are lots of educational experiences, and the staff is wonderful.
